Vanda dearei - Wild Orchid of Tebakang

Vanda dearei is also known as "Tebakang". Tebakang is a name of a village near Serian, Kuching. Obviously named after this place as this is where this orchid species can be found.
However, it's now not easy to find this orchid anymore except in nursery and personal collection like us. The flower emit nice fragrant and quite long lasting - a week to 10 days.

▼Vanda luzonica is another unique and distinctive orchid species in our collection. Originally from the Philippines (Pinatubo volcano area), we got this Vanda species from the dear friend.
